Jim Corbett National Park :Jim Corbett national park is the oldest reserve of India. Situated in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, it was established in 1936. At inception the name of the park was Hailey national park and in 1987 the park was rechristened in the honor of great naturalist and author Late Jim Corbett. The park covers an area of 521 sq km.Corbett National Park attained the distinction as the first national park to be established in mainland Asia. The swift and turbulent Ramganga River flows through the park. It has been a haunt for tourist and wildlife lovers.
